Who are the Cloverbuds?
Cloverbuds are PVHA members, ages five through eight, who explore areas of healthy lifestyle, environment and earth science, citizenship and civic education, plants and animals, consumerism and family science, science and technology, personal development, and community expressive arts through different hands on activities.
When do the Cloverbuds meet?
We meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in Brewer during the PVHA 4-H meetings from 1:00 - 3:30 pm.
What do the Cloverbuds do?
The primary goal of the program is to promote children's healthy development; mentally, physically, socially and emotionally.
At 1:00 we begin our meeting by signing in and socializing with friends. At 1:15 we start our announcements and say our pledges. Then it is time to start our activities, which are planned using weekly themes from the Cloverbud Curriculum developed by the Ohio State University Extension. There are a variety of stories, games, activities, experiments and crafts revolving around a theme covered that week. We also have gym time for the kids to exercise and play, and a snack break.
