How do I Join?

Members must be at least 5 years old, as of January 1st to be a 4-H member. Even though our group is taylored for homeschoolers, we do not exclude any child from joining. We start the new year in September with our field trip, but we do offer an open house in early September and actual meetings start in October. It's advisable to fill out all required paperwork by the first meeting, but new members can join anytime during the regular PVHA meeting schedule. We do ask for a $17.50 per session to help cover operation costs per family. However we never exclude any family from joining due to financial hardship. If financial arrangements need to be made, please speak to the club treasurer. All payment arrangements remain confidential. What does PVHA 4-H expect from you?

PVHA 4-H Club is a very family-involved club. We require that a parent or guardian come to all meetings with their children. We ask that all of our parents help out each year in some capacity. We need project and activity leaders and helpers, nursery workers, families to take turns cleaning the building, or anyone willing to take on any needed tasks. Our nursery is available for the young children of our leaders and helpers while they are working with other children. Due to the large numbers of young children, we are requiring children 3 or younger to stay in the nursery under their parent's or guardian's supervision, unless other arrangements have been made with a nursery worker.
