We divide our members into three age groups, Cloverbuds (ages 4-8), Juniors (ages 9-12), and Teens (ages 13-19). The Cloverbuds meet for the entire meeting for a variety of stories, activities and crafts. The Juniors and Teens time is divided between gym time and a club time for the first hour. During the second hour, the Juniors and Teens split up into project groups where they work on a single project that they have selected for a duration of six club meetings. Then in the spring the children will have an opportunity to select a new project.
A wide variety of programs and projects are available in these categories:
We meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from October through May, except December when we only meet on the second Tuesday for a two hour workshop. These meetings are held in Brewer from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm at the First United Methodist Church. Special field trips, science fairs, workshops, planning meetings, and community service projects are announced as they are scheduled. In May we conclude the school year with a Year End Program that highlights a talent show, the presentation of club awards and high school graduations.
